From 1996 to 2000, he went for further studies in philosophy at the Pontifical University Urbaniana in Rome and obtained a Doctorate Degree in Philosophy. From 2000 to 2001, he studied the Pedagogy of the ministerial formational ways at the Salesian Pontifical University in Rome. In 2001, he came back to Cameroon and was appointed the Vicar General of the Diocese of Eséka and Parish Priest of ‘Christ Ressucité’ Parish at Eséka. Since 2004 he is, at the same time, working at the Apostolic Nunciature of Yaoundé, Teacher in the Faculty of Philosophy at the Catholic University of Central Africa and Assistant Parish Priest at Saint Vincent Palloti Parish, Nlongkak. On Thursday, December 03, 2009, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Obala, Cameroon.

Pursuant to the prescription of the 1983 Code of Canon (Cans. 298-329; 573-606), the Most Rev. Sosthene Leopold Bayemi Matjei, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Obala, as an ecclesiastical competent authority, generously approved the institution of the Apostles of Divine Charity in his diocese. In other words, he gave us the canonical permission and authorization to begin the Apostles of Divine Charity in his Diocese of Obala in Cameroon.

We are very proud of him and are happy to have him at our back. We are appreciative of all his support and assistance thus far, and pray that God will continue to bless him with a great wisdom and knowledge to shepherd the flock he has entrusted to him. We owe him every explanation and do our best to stay in a close communion with him at all times. In fact, he is our spiritual father and we are his spiritual children, and for that reason, we endeavor to stay tightly under his pastoral and spiritual guidance, listening and following his directives.
